Nikolaevskaya Guards Almshouse
Detailed description
In 1850, the Nikolaevskaya almshouse was founded for widows and orphans of the clergy of the Guard and Grenadier troops. The building consisted of only one floor and a basement - "high basements". In 1892, the head priest of the guard moved here. The building was rebuilt according to the project of Pyotr Sergeevich Samsonov - two more floors were added, on the top of which a church and a belfry were built. During the Soviet era, the house became residential. At the beginning of the 20th century, a fourth floor was added to it. The building is an office building.
