Tank Apartment Building

The building was built between 1904 and 1905. It was owned by the publisher of the newspaper "speech" Julian Bak. The house attracts with the expressive decoration of the facades and the original design of the courtyard: several floors of the main building and the wing are connected by aerial galleries. Art historians describe the style of the building as "the third Baroque". Under the Soviet regime, the house was put into communal housing. In the last century, famous personalities of the country lived in his apartments.: actor Yuri Kamorny, ballerina Nina Timofeeva, dancer Vasily Ostrovsky and many others.
