Apartment house of N.N. Zaitseva

The apartment building of N. N. Zaitseva was built in 1875 according to the design of architect I. S. Bogomolov. Between 1879 and 1883, the house was rebuilt by architect V. Kene. The stucco facade is decorated with borders, eagles and ornaments. The windows are decorated with stained glass windows. Spacious bay windows lead to the balconies. This is the only stone house with a facade made in the Russian style. The main cornice is heavy, beautiful and majestic. The owner of the house, N. N. Zaitseva, and her daughter, Y. S. Sheremeteva, lived in the house. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the house belonged to Zaitseva's son, V. S. Sergeev.
