The apartment house of G. G. Eliseev
Detailed description
The building was built in 1891-1892 . Its author was the "Eliseevsky court architect" G. V. Baranovsky. The facade of the building is decorated with yellow brick and richly decorated with various details. Baranovsky used one of his favorite techniques — a long ribbon balcony crossing the level of the second floor, placing the grand staircase in a separate tower-like volume in the center of the building. The house had all the benefits of modern civilization, including running water, toilets, sewerage, heating and the first steam elevator in the city.
