Petrov Baths
Detailed description
Petrovsky baths were opened in December 1880. Contrary to the deceptive impression, the baths were named Petrovsky not in honor of the emperor, but in honor of the first owner, Stepan Petrovich Petrov. Previously, the courtyard of the cabmen, designed by architect Suso, was located on the site of the baths. In 1917, the baths began to be used as office space and returned to their original purpose only in 1934.
