Detailed description
On the corner of the embankment of the Griboyedov Canal and Srednyaya Podyachesky Street there is a mansion in which V.S. Balashev lived. This memorable two-storey building was built in 1899 by architects P.N. Volkov, N.V. Trusov, L.F. Speller, G.P. Hertz and V.M. Karlovich in the classical style. The editors of the magazines Graphic Art, Paper Industry and Almanac of Modern Actors worked here.
