Raskolnikov House
Detailed description
Raskolnikov's House" or "Joachim's House" is the house where the main character of the novel lived. The house was built in 1831 by architect Egor Timofeevich Zollikofer in the classical style. The house faces Grazhdanskaya Street and Stolyanui Street. The entrance to the courtyard is closed with iron bars. The building has four (previously five) floors. On the walls there are two marble slabs showing the height of the water during the flood of 1824.
