The main building of the St. Petersburg City Almshouses is located near the Smolny Cathedral Garden on the Neva River embankment. The building was built in 1850. It is a two-storey brick building with a superstructure above its central part. The facade of the building is decorated with stucco. The Smolny Business Center is currently located in the building. The house is classified as a national heritage site.
