Apartment house of A.V. Dekhterinsky
Detailed description
The owner of the house was Alexander Dekhterinsky, he was a merchant of the second guild, he kept a tool shop in Apraksiny Dvor. Unfortunately, he did not live in this house for long. A few years after the housewarming, he died. To this day, the front door has been perfectly preserved, with patterned tiles on its platforms, the pattern of which varies on different floors. The walls and ceilings of the building are decorated with stucco, arches and medallions with the letter "D". A gas lamp has been preserved on one of the stairs to this day, it appeared here during the filming of the film "Dostoevsky's Three Women". In Soviet times, the spacious apartments were communal, and most of them were inhabited by intellectuals – teachers, doctors, and many others.
