Apartment house of K.A. Schreiber
Detailed description
This building was built in 1906-1907 in the neo-Baroque style. The first wooden buildings that once stood on the site of this house were built back in the 18th century. In 1905, the land was bought by K. A. Schreiber. In 1906-1907, Schreiber built a new eclectic house with elements of classicism and Art Nouveau on the site of the old house. He built a house for officers of a prestigious Cavalry regiment. The facade of the building is decorated with vases and sculptures. Absolutely all apartments had modern accessories for that time. The building was designed for nineteen large apartments. Later, they were divided into many rooms. To date, a small part of the magnificent decoration has been preserved.
