Barracks and arena of the Cavalry Guard Regiment
Detailed description
The beginning of the construction of this complex of buildings dates back to 1800, to accommodate the barracks of the cavalry guards, the honorary imperial guard. The construction was carried out according to the project of architect L. Ruska. The yellow building with white columns, the manege of the Cavalry Regiment, is an example of classicism. This is evidenced by the symmetrical facade with large windows with semicircular ends, at the level of the 2nd floor decorated with a portico of 8 Doric columns, decorated with rustication at the bottom.
