Detailed description

The Nerastankino Pavilion was built in 1803 according to the design and under the supervision of architect Ivan Yegotov. The pavilion is an open-air classical-style hall with side niches, topped by a small dome with a copper spire. In the center of the building there is a through passage decorated with columns in the Tuscan style. The niches in the facade are decorated with vases carved from solid white stone. In 2018, repair and restoration works were carried out in Nerastankino to preserve the architectural monument. The building is located on a high hill, offering a picturesque panorama of the descent to the embankment, Rusalkin Gate and the floodplain of the park.
