Milovida Pavilion
Detailed description
The pavilion, known as "Milovida" or "Milovidova Gallery", is one of the magnificent buildings of Tsaritsyn Park, created in the early 19th century. Its construction took place in 1803-1804 and, presumably, was carried out according to the project of Ivan Gotov, a student of Vasily Bazhenov. The pavilion is located in the most beautiful part of the park, and its walls offer an amazing view of the Upper Tsaritsyn Pond with an artificial island, which gave it its "pastoral" name. Structurally, the pavilion is an arched gallery with four small corner rooms - "cabinets" - for a comfortable stay of visitors. Tsaritsyno Park has become a popular place for picnics and walks, so some buildings, including pavilions, have been converted into coffee shops and entertainment facilities.
