Teatro Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga

The Arkhangelsk Theater project was created by Italian artist Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga, commissioned by Prince Yusupov. This is one of the few old theaters that has not undergone reconstruction. The theater has a rectangular shape and two floors, the facade of which is decorated with four columns of the Ionic order. The gable roof is crowned with pediments. The upper floor of the building is decorated with stucco. The main entrance is decorated in the form of an arch. The auditorium accommodates two hundred and fifty people, has an oval shape and is connected to the lobby by three entrances. Almost all the elements of Gonzaga's decor and decorations have been preserved to this day.
