Retaining wall of the Lower terrace

The retaining wall of the Lower Terrace includes the architectural and park ensemble of the Arkhangelsk estate, whose history dates back to 1584. The staircase that descends to the terrace has a sculptural design in the form of dogs, lions and female figures. It leads to a small fountain "Cupid with dolphins". The length of this wall is 150 meters, and according to the stories of visitors, it seems that numerous busts of Roman emperors, generals and mythological heroes tell about the antiquity of the family of the former owners of the estate.
