The history of the church begins in 1629, when the stone church of the Intercession of the Virgin was built, which gave the village its name. There are no exact facts about how the church changed in the following years. There are several versions: According to the first version, the church was completely rebuilt in 1750, according to the second version, the church was rebuilt. After 1930, the church was closed, and the church property was sold, including abroad. Later, some of the exhibits from the temple were transferred to the museum. The military department began to work on the territory of the temple. Crosses and domes were removed. The temple has undergone internal alterations. The restoration of the church began in 1992.
