Barrier gate No. 73 South

Barrier gate No. 73 is a hydraulic engineering structure created to cut off the section of the canal between the Khimkinsky and Klyazminsky reservoirs. The gate consists of two inclined wooden frames fastened at the bottom with a metal box inside which there is a simple mechanism for automatically releasing the lifting chain. In normal condition, the frames fit into special niches. At the same time, the distance between them is chosen so that they enter each other.
