Peter and Fevronya

The monument to Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom was unveiled on July 8, 2015. Towering by more than 2.5 meters, the bronze monument is installed near the walls of the registry office. Its opening was timed to coincide with Family Day, as Saints Peter and Fevronia are considered patrons of marriage and the Orthodox family. Interestingly, similar monuments have already been installed in more than 60 cities of Russia. Just like other monuments, it is a worthy colorful detail of the urban landscape and a popular place of recuperation for many residents and visitors of Khimki.
