Broido and Burdakov apartment house
Detailed description
The apartment building is part of a residential complex that was built in 1910-1912 by architect Adolf Zelingson. Construction began in 1910 by order of the Broido family. They bought land, built turnkey mansions and apartment buildings, and then sold them. In 1911, it was bought by Victorin Burdakov, a Ural gold miner and philanthropist. A year later, the construction of residential and apartment buildings was completed. There was also a master apartment in the 20-room main building. The composition of the main facade corresponded to the interior layout. The central part of the facade was occupied by an elegant curved window. The composition of this French miniature palace was completed by a high roof with a parapet. The glazing pattern of the courtyard house repeats the pattern of the main facade. The facades of the apartment building are made in a common manner with the main house. The Embassy of the Republic of Chile is currently located in the building of the main house.
