Church of the Nativity of Christ in Mitino
Detailed description
The church stands on a hill and towers over the surrounding landscape, standing on a hill on the banks of the Skhodoni River, not far from the cemetery.
The original wooden church was built in 1758 with the blessing of Archimandrite Joseph, the vicar of the Moscow Chudov Monastery.
In the first half of the 17th century, the Chudovsky Monastery settled peasants on its land and built a small wooden church. In 1673, a new one was built on the site of the former church, but also wooden.
