Chapel of St. George at the mass grave of the militia
Detailed description
The chapel was built at the expense of the Mitino Prefecture in honor of the 50th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It honors the memory of soldiers who died during the capture of Nazi soldiers. During the war, medical and sanitary battalions were located here, next to which the dead were buried. In 1952, all the graves were combined into one mass grave. In the 70s, a monument made in the form of bent banners was erected on this grave. In 1995, a chapel with a semicircular roof and a dome was built. It was consecrated in the same year.
