The main house of the estate Znamenskoye-Gubaylovo
Detailed description
The estate belonged to Prince and general-in-chief Dolgorukov-Krymsky. It was founded in the middle of the 18th century. It was then that the still-preserved architectural ensemble in the classical style was formed. In 1836, members of the Dolgorukov family sold the estate into the hands of Demenkov, and then various influential figures took turns owning it. Since the beginning of the 20th century, thanks to the philanthropist Polyakov, the estate has become a cultural center of Moscow symbolist poets. Balmont, Bryusov, and the Blue Rose artists regularly spent their time here.
