The mansion of V.S. Kanshin
Detailed description
The mansion was built in 1859-1860 for the collegiate registrar and concurrently the richest man in the city, V.S. Kanshin, based on a project by architect G.M. Barch. The style is defined as eclecticism. The hallmark of the facility is the front door, which has remained practically intact since its foundation. There is a rich stucco with gilding in the form of cupids and caryatids. When creating the interior, the architect was inspired by a variety of ideas and trends. This is evidenced by the stucco decorations, which have signs of Baroque, as well as the grand staircase, made in the Art Nouveau style.
Currently, the house houses various organizations, including a music school, so anyone can see this beauty.
