Slonov Mansion
Detailed description
The building of the future Slonov mansion was built next to the Church of the Holy Trinity. At the end of the 19th century, the building was acquired by a philistine from Kolomna, I. A. Strukov. He invited architect N. D. Strukov to give the building new forms. The house has acquired a classic style. Elephants and their family lived in the mansion. Later, all the buildings near the mansion were demolished, as the construction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began. At the same time, the Trinity Church was demolished. Today, units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are located in the former mansion.
