The building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, located on Smolenskaya-Sennaya Square, is one of the seven famous "Stalin skyscrapers" built in the 1950s as part of the reconstruction of Moscow. With a height of 172 meters and 27 floors, the building has rigid ribs that emphasize its height and orientation to the top. The total area of the coat of arms, made of reinforced concrete, is 144 square meters, and the total area of all the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is 65 thousand square meters. Its architectural style is a reference to English Gothic, and the tiered structure with a shrinking upward section is decorated with merlons instead of towers or flowerpots.
