Residential building of the Ministry of Geology

The House of Geologists was built in 1955 in the Stalinist Empire style for employees of the USSR Ministry of Geology. On the roof of the building there is a sculptural composition "Science and Labor" by Yuri Orekhov. In the center of it is a decorative attic with the image of the coat of arms of the USSR, in its central part there is a decorative wall of marble figures of people. From the courtyard side, the walls of the building are practically devoid of decoration. Only at the entrances to the entrances can you see semi-columns covered with beams and a floor of small ceramic tiles of different sizes. It is currently an architectural monument.
