The house of N.S. Chesnokov is a monument of urban planning and architecture in the historical district of Nizhny Novgorod. Built in 1881-1896. The author is unknown, but this is a striking example of a 19th-century merchant's house with magnificent stucco, built along the main line of Ilyinskaya Street, one of the oldest streets in the city, and designed in the spirit of eclecticism.
