Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord
Detailed description
The new church was erected in 1888. The architect of the vast brick temple is Grudzinsky. In 1937, under Soviet rule, the temple was closed, the dome was demolished, and the bell tower was blown up. Many years later, the services resumed. The dome was restored, two new chapters were erected over the refectory, and the interior of the main temple was decorated with mosaics. The church was completely restored and renovated in 1999.
