Mikhailovsky Garden Fence
Detailed description
Mikhailovsky Park was laid out in the 18th century on a plot of land between the Fontanka River and the Griboyedov Canal. After the construction of the Summer Palace in the center of the park, the park was improved: ponds were built, trees were cut, statues were installed along the edges of the alleys. After the assassination attempt on Alexander the Third, in order to protect the royals, it was decided to enclose the park. The fence is a structure of decorative brick columns with fixed wrought-iron grilles. The entrance gate is decorated with decorative elements and the monogram of Alexander the Third.
