The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood is one of the main attractions of the city. It was built on the site of the assassination attempt on Tsar Alexander II. It was built for 24 years with funds raised from all over Russia and opened in 1907. It has a height of 81 meters. Orthodox prayer services and various cultural events are regularly held here. The architecture of the building is represented by a combination of Orthodox and Alexandrov style of the late 19th century. The upper exposition is crowned by large domes, and numerous architectural reliefs with individual elements surround the entire structure.
