Detailed description

The sculptures are complete copies of the statues by the famous P.K. Klodt, located on the Anichkov Bridge in St. Petersburg. The Moscow "horses" were made by his grandson Konstantin Claude according to his grandfather's sketches. The sculptures depict two people taming eager horses. It is no coincidence that the statues are located on Begovaya Alley, because in the 19th century it was the main road to the Moscow Hippodrome. Next to the "Dioscuri" are the equally famous Openwork House and the Aviator House (or "centipede house").
