The Museum of the History of the RGAU-MSHA was opened on the initiative of relatives of Timiryazev front-line soldiers in 1958. In 1963, a monument to the fallen during the Great Patriotic War was erected on the territory of the museum. The exhibition is located in the building of the former Museum of mineralogy of Count Razumovsky. The current museum exhibit moved here in 1985. The museum's collection consists of portraits, personal belongings, documents, and sculptures. Visitors can get acquainted with the classrooms of scientists, with the hall of military glory. Special attention should be paid to the academy's history tree. The names of faculties and departments of educational institutions were depicted on its branches. On the walls of the museum there are paintings of Timiryazevka graduates from different years.
