The mansion of P.F. Semyannikov was built in 1800-1869 by architect V. E. Stukkey.
The house housed an antique store, the Art Bureau, and from 1918 to 1922, the Writers' House, which saved hundreds of writers and intellectuals from starvation. In 2001, the house was included in the "List of newly discovered objects of historical, Scientific, Artistic and Other Cultural Value" by the Commission for State Control, Accounting and Protection of Historical, Scientific, Artistic and Other Cultural Works. This mansion is also a historic building built in the classical style.
