Detailed description
The St. Petersburg Gymnasium of the Imperial Humane Society or the Home for the Education of Poor Children is located near the Barracks of the Naval Guards Crew on the embankment of the Kryukov Canal. The gymnasium opened in 1817 and was abolished in 1917. It is a three-storey yellow brick building, the facade of which is decorated with stucco. Currently, the building houses Secondary School No. 232. The house is classified as a national heritage site.
