Derzhavin Manor Theater

The Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin Estate Museum is located in the center of St. Petersburg on the Fontanka River embankment. In the nineties of the XVIII century, the Derzhavins became the owners of an unfinished two-story mansion. A family friend, architect N.A. Lvov, was invited to complete the construction and decoration. A little later, a home theater building was built on the estate, which was equipped with all the necessary mechanisms and machines for staging complex plays of that time. The auditorium has an area of more than fifty square meters and accommodates fifty-four seats.
