Ice Olympus Figure Skating Museum
Detailed description
The museum was opened in 2013. The idea for its creation was suggested by the collector of artifacts Andrey Uvarov. The unusual museum collection includes about 1,000 exhibits that give a clear idea of what figure skating was like in Peter the Great's time and what it has become now. The museum features exhibits such as a collection of antique skates, a collection of table medals and badges of world and European champions, antique postcards, prints and newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as personal belongings of athletes. The museum is particularly popular during international figure skating competitions.
