The Ice Olympus Museum was established in 2013 at a sports facility in Novogorsk, Moscow region. The sports center “Novogorsk” is considered the leading base for training athletes for international competitions. The museum is an ornament of the sports complex. The collection of the unusual museum has about 1000 exhibits. The museum houses antique skates from the period of Peter the Great and modern skates of famous figure skaters of our time. You can see medals and badges of world and European champions, engravings and old postcards, newspapers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Olympic champions provide the museum with their personal belongings, costumes, and photographs. The museum shows its exhibitions at international figure skating competitions and cooperates with the Olympic Committee. An important task of the museum is to preserve the memory of people, athletes, and coaches who stood at the origins of figure skating, won awards over the years, and continue to do so today.
