The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh
Detailed description
A small wooden single-domed tiered church. It is an example of an architectural reinterpretation of the traditions of Russian wooden architecture. The upper tier was formed by a simplified crossed barrel with openings highlighting the interior. It was originally built as a chapel by the architect
I. Pokrovsky and Yu. Besides, they also made the iconostasis in the best traditions of Russian icon painting. In 1999, the chapel was rebuilt into a church by adding an altar section with a small dome and a vestibule with two porches. It is attributed to the church of St. Nicholas in Rzhavki.
