The building was built by famous architects Gilev P.I. and Dmitriev N.V. in 1902 in an eclectic style. It is also known under the name Profitable house of the merchant V.I. Cherepennikov. Within walking distance are the Summer Garden, the Mikhailovsky Castle, the Tauride Garden, the Field of Mars, the Annenkirche, the Brodsky Museum-Apartment. Restaurants for all tastes are located nearby.
