Detailed description
The building is located near Mikhailovsky Square. It was built in the early 19th century and is a three-storey stone building. The street facades of the house have the shape of a closed rectangle with a courtyard in the center. In 1840, the great Russian poet M.Y. Lermontov was under arrest in the Ordinance House after a duel with E. Barant. Here he was visited by the Russian literary critic V.G.Belinsky.
