Savva Morozov 's Estate
Detailed description
The estate was built at the end of the 19th century by order of merchant Savva Morozov, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist. It is a magnificent example of the luxurious architecture of the Art Nouveau era. It includes stables, a one-story house with a chapel in the form of a tower, and a dam was built on the river. Over the years, the estate housed a sanatorium, a hospital, and the headquarters of the 78th Infantry Division. Currently, the Moscow Region Resource Center is located on the territory of the estate. The Morozov estate is used as a dormitory for the household staff.
