Detailed description
The building was designed by S.P. Kondratiev in the period from 1893 to 1896. In 1893, St. Petersburg merchant Ya. Ya. Ignashkin purchased the land plot, after which construction of an apartment building immediately began. The central facade overlooks the Fontanka River embankment. The house has five floors and is broken in the middle, that is, it is angular. The architectural style to which the building can be attributed is eclecticism.
