Detailed description

The Central Naval Museum is one of the largest museums in Russia dedicated to the history of the Navy. It originates from the St. Petersburg camera model, which was first mentioned in a letter from Peter the Great on January 13 (24), 1709. The camera model was located in the Main Admiralty, where the ships of the Baltic Fleet were being built. The museum's exposition features unique exhibits related to the history of the Russian navy since the 18th century. In the museum you can see ships, guns, weapons, uniforms, documents and other items related to the naval history of Russia. In 1805, the Maritime Museum was established, founded by a camera model. By the end of the 19th century, the Maritime Museum had become a major Russian cultural and scientific center and gained worldwide fame.
