St. John the Baptist Church of Sadki village
Detailed description
The temple was built in the middle of the eighteenth century. The building was originally a wooden tent-roofed church. Later, Fyodor Lopukhin built the existing stone church. Consecrated in the name of the Nativity of John the Baptist. There are fragments of the relics of the ascetics of the Caves - the venerable ones: Damian, Anatoly and Ilya Muromets. Surprisingly, during the defense of Moscow, the fascist invaders could not get past the church and the place became a frontier beyond which they could not break through. Currently, the church has a Sunday school.
