The historic Office Building of the Marble Palace is located in the center of St. Petersburg and is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. The architectural style of the building is classicism. The author of the project is P. E. Egorov. The construction was carried out in the period from 1780 to 1788. Among the famous inhabitants of the building is Anna Akhmatova. The building has two floors and is yellow in color, and its facade is decorated with pilasters stretching from the ground floor to the roof. The magnificent front portal with granite columns, located on the facade of the embankment, deserves special attention.
