Detailed description

The temple in the village was built in the 30s of the 18th century at the expense of Agrafena Ladygina. During the Napoleonic invasion, several houses burned down in the village, but the church remained intact and undefiled. In the 20s of the 19th century, the building was renovated, the roof was replaced, and a refectory was added. Under Soviet rule, the temple was closed and looted. The building was partially destroyed. Soon it was returned to the faithful, reconstruction began in the church, and regular worship services were held in parallel with the restoration work. The temple is located on the banks of the picturesque Istra River and is a most valuable monument of Russian architecture.
